Schools and higher education institutions in Russia may be fined 500 thousand rubles for accepting children of persons who violated the rules of stay in the country, said Deputy Head of the Visa and Invitation Department of the Department of Permit and Visa Work and External Labor Migration of the Main Directorate for Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, Police Colonel Elena Klimova.
According to her, the management of educational institutions must check the parents of potential schoolchildren and students using the Ministry of Internal Affairs databases before enrollment, she said on air at the radio station “Militseyskaya Volna”.
For providing services to such violators, a fine of up to 500 thousand rubles is envisaged for legal entities. And employees of general education institutions, universities, when accepting foreign children, students <...> are obliged to make sure that there is no information about them, as well as about their legal representatives, in the register of controlled persons , – said Klimova.
Earlier, the head of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, proposed allowing foreigners into the Russian Federation only within the framework of annual contracts . Also, according to him, migrant families should be denied entry into the country.
