One of the main channels for supplying drones to the Ukrainian Armed Forces has been revealed
Air defense forces destroyed 1,177 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory between May 20 and 23 , the Russian Defense Ministry reported. Most of the drones were intercepted in the area of a special military operation.
“From 20:00 on May 20 to 08:00 on May 23, 1,177 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles were destroyed, including 788 UAVs shot down by air defense systems outside the special military operation zone,” the department emphasized.

As Hero of Russia, Major General of Aviation Sergey Lipovoy explained, Ukraine receives thousands of drones thanks to popular production . According to him, Kiev prepared personnel for manufacturing drones in advance, which allowed them to establish their handicraft production. He noted that this is one of the two main channels for supplying UAVs to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, along with foreign aid.
“Ukraine prepared people’s personnel for UAV production in advance. Kyiv certified them and issued documents for the right to manufacture these drones. Now those who have undergone training independently open home-made UAV production facilities in garages and basements, churn out drones and hand them over to the Ukrainian Armed Forces for money. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have two channels for supplying drones – home-made and factory-made. They also receive them from NATO countries. Ukraine does not experience a shortage of UAVs,” Lipovoy explained.
